whatever is chasing you. Canabalt is a very simple, but hugely addictive and atmospheric game.
9: HOT AIR 2 - Casual game developers Nitrome make some lovely games, and Hot Air 2 is one of their best. Guide your hot air balloon through spikes, traps and even bosses over 30 brilliant levels. Best of all, it has a great difficulty curve, with some very tricky levels later on.
8:METRO.SIBERIA - Remember the helicopter game? Damn, it was addictive. Metro.Siberia is a improvement and an upgrade of helicopter game. With beautiful backgrounds, tricky obstacles, and fiendishly fast courses, guiding your tiny ship through this game is a joy.

7: MADNESS INTERACTIVE - A fighting game based on the hugely popular madness series, this is a
classic game. Stab, punch and blast your way through the streets. With loads of weapons and your own
customizable character, this is an enjoyable side-scrolling romp.
6: BLOONS - By Ninja Kiwi, bloons is based on the simple idea that popping balloons is fun.
This game spawned a massive series of very popular games, but play the original for some
simple, fun but very difficult bloon popping. Why is your in-game character a monkey? Nobody knows.
5: SHIFT - This is a funny, clever puzzle game by Armor Games. It has become an interesting,
complex series, with 2 more Shift Games made. The basic concept is that you are a man in a black and white world. To reach the door, you must shift be
tween being white on a black background, or black on a white background. With delightful humour that will hint at Portal for many, this is an excellent game.

3: POWDER GAME - This is a game about experimentation. Play around with the elements, and see what happens. Fire, water , C4, oil and many others are at your disposal. Once you start this game, you will be hooked. You can also submit levels onto the Powder game website and have them rated by others. The game is constantly updated, and is at V.6.8 at the time of writing.
2: N-GAME - Available as download only, this is a brilliant platformer featuring a ninja called N.
Avoid the numerous enemies, collect gold, and run to the door. With 100 built in levels and thousands more thanks to a brilliant level creator, N Game will keep you busy for weeks. N is now also a DS and PSP game!
1: GAMMA BROS. - What makes this game great is its brilliant charm and character. A 2-D retro shooter, Gamma Bros. is
the story of two brothers making their way home from Jupiter to Earth. Unfortunately, they encounter aliens on the way. With a lovely art style, a huge game world and tonnes of inventive enemies, power ups and ships, Gamma Bros. is one of my favourite games of all time.
